Core Responsibilities:
As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for working with the Office of the Health Insurance Marketplace (OHIM) leadership (Director, COO, Policy & Outreach Director) to lead community outreach activities, build and coordinate partnerships, represent the office at events, and recruit and develop member testimonials. This position serves as the Office’s subject matter expert on outreach strategy.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications:
In order to qualify for this position, you must have an eight (8) year combination of education and/or experience that includes a bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, communications, social services, or a closely related field -AND- four (4) years of experience with developing and maintaining positive relationships with community organizations or private business professional organizations on health-related outreach or advocacy efforts, ideally in the State of Maine. Professional experience must include experience with testimonial collection. Directly related professional experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
