Community Support Professional

Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Professional to work with a adult individual within our community. In this role, you will provide daily support and engagement within the community, working on physical fitten goals, communication, and create social and emotional oppurtunitys to develop new skills. This role will also support growing this individuals preparedness for education and learning through daily educational instruction and field trips.

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including creating independence through gentle reminders with personal hygiene and other daily care skills.
• Create and support a fun and engaging fitness routine daily to meet personal health goals. Membership to the Y is included.
• Support personal educational goals such as working on fun projects, diving into subject matter appropriate to their educational goals and abilities.
• Support daily nutritional meals and assist with meal service, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and to provide supervision at all times.
• Provide clear boundaries with empathetic and relationship building routine.
• Document care activities, resident progress, and any incidents accurately in compliance with privacy standards
• Support individuals scheduled needs such as occational errands that have been pre approved

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
• Knowledge of emotional intelligence
• Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance are preferred
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
• Ability to pass a background check and ARIS application
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the team
• Compassionate nature with a passion for supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities
• Ability to be timely and dependable.

This position is hiring immediately pending background clearance. We are not looking for an employee we are looking for a strong individual who can show love, kindness, structure, and routine to make a huge impact long term on an individual. The individual is very engaging, smart and willing to please. This role will be Tuesday-Friday 9:00am to 2:00pm. We can discus transportation arrangements.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.11 per hour
