Company Secretary (CS)

A CS (Company Secretary) job involves ensuring corporate governance, legal compliance, and efficient administration, acting as a crucial link between the board, management, shareholders, and regulators; core duties include advising directors on law, managing board/shareholder meetings, maintaining statutory records, handling filings, and overseeing legal/regulatory adherence, making it a strategic governance role, not just secretarial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance & Compliance: Ensuring the company adheres to all laws, regulations (like SEBI, Companies Act), and best practices in corporate governance.
  • Board Support: Preparing agendas, taking minutes, drafting resolutions for board/shareholder meetings (AGMs) and ensuring action points are followed.
  • Legal & Statutory: Maintaining statutory registers (members, directors), filing documents with authorities (e.g., Companies House), and managing legal documentation.
  • Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact between the board, management, shareholders, and external regulators/advisors (lawyers, auditors).
  • Advisory: Providing legal, financial, and strategic advice to the board on corporate law, governance, and potential risks.
  • Record Keeping: Ensuring secure and accurate maintenance of all legal books, records, and company documents.

Core Skills Needed:

  • Strong understanding of corporate law, securities law, and governance principles.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high ethical standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
