Compensation Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a high-potential, analytically driven Compensation Manager to lead the design, administration, and execution of our global compensation programs. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Total Rewards, this role is an excellent opportunity for a developing compensation professional to deepen their expertise while gaining exposure to total rewards, including benefits and cross-functional initiatives.

This position is primarily focused on compensation (approximately 60%), including core program management, analytics, compensation cycle execution, and maintaining compensation structures. The role also supports benefits administration, vendor coordination, and special projects (approximately 40%). Success in this role requires a strong technical skill set, particularly advanced Excel skills, along with experience developing or significantly contributing to compensation structures within a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the administration and execution of the global annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, bonus planning, and calibration processes.
  • Maintain and evolve compensation structures, including salary ranges, job leveling frameworks, and market alignment, ensuring internal equity and competitive positioning; ideally have led an implementation in this space.
  • Perform advanced compensation analysis and modeling to inform decision-making, leveraging advanced Excel formulas and tools (e.g. data validation, trend analysis, and scenario modeling).
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation decisions, market data interpretation, internal equity and pay practices.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and pay equity analyses using external survey data, and prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for leadership review
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation programs, policies, processes, and tools, while ensuring data integrity within HR systems.
  • Contribute to Total Rewards initiatives and special projects, including system enhancements, job architecture work, and integration efforts.
  • Provide support for benefits administration, including coordination with vendors, open enrollment activities, plan updates, and employee communications.
  • Respond to employee and HR inquiries related to compensation and benefits programs and offer flexible support across Total Rewards and the broader HR function as business needs evolve.
  • Participate / lead special projects across Total Rewards, which may include system implementations or enhancements (e.g. HRIS or compensation tools), M&A integration support, job architecture or Total Rewards program redesign efforts.
  • Provide flexible support across the HR function based on business needs and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Approximately 5 – 8+ years of compensation or related analytical experience (HR, finance, or data analytics backgrounds considered).
  • Experience supporting compensation programs such as merit planning, bonus administration, or salary benchmarking.
  • Strong Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, actionable insights for HR and business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or maintaining compensation structure (salary ranges, job architecture).
  • Working knowledge of compensation survey tools (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, or similar).
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and/or compensation planning tools.
  • Experience in compensation programs is a plus.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification or progress toward certification is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
