WorqCompany is launching a next-gen Prudent Merchant model to support e-commerce sellers with operational and tech solutions. To ensure legal compliance with Türkiye’s regulations, we seek a compliance implementation leader to work with legal teams and embed safeguards across our operations, ensuring all activities align with relevant laws and commercial standards.

WQ Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain the Prudent Merchant Compliance Framework , translating legal requirements into actionable internal rules, policies, and workflows.
• Ensure that the company’s commercial operations (onboarding, sales, growth, collections) are aligned with trade-based transaction principles and free of regulatory ambiguity.
• Collaborate with business units to eliminate terminology, practices, or behaviors that may lead to misinterpretation of the business model.
• Conduct regular internal audits of key departments to ensure continuous adherence to compliance standards and regulatory positioning strategies.
• Monitor compliance-related KPIs & OKRs, prepare dashboards and reports for senior leadership, and flag potential operational or legal risks.
• Review marketing language, customer communications, and third-party agreements to ensure consistency with WorqCompany’s trade identity.
• Work cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Growth, and Operations teams to develop and implement department-specific compliance protocols.
• Deliver internal training and onboarding sessions to support compliance-sensitive workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to embed compliance logic (e.g., risk-flagging, data retention rules) into digital platforms.
• Maintain a centralized, well-organized archive of compliance records, policies, training content, and audit trails.
• Assist the Legal Department in regulatory preparations, documentation, and third-party audit processes.
• Poster a proactive compliance culture through awareness initiatives, periodic reminders, and integration into day-to-day business decisions.
• Provide structured feedback on compliance execution, business vulnerabilities, and process improvement opportunities.

WQ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate education or certifications in law, compliance, or risk management are a strong plus.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in compliance operations and legal implementation, ideally in commerce, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
• Solid understanding of Commercial Law, e-commerce and foreign trade regulations, with exposure to competition law, data protection, and sectoral compliance standards.
• Proven ability to translate legal frameworks into operational practices across business functions.
• Strong organizational skills, risk-awareness, and the ability to manage structured implementation projects.
• Fluency in Turkish and professional working proficiency in English (all documentation and reporting will be bilingual).
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
