Compliance Manager – Property Management (Seaside, CA)

We are looking for a motivated individual to join a fun and dedicated property management team in Seaside, California! We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to oversee annual certifications for a 192-unit community that includes HUD Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC programs.

Location: Seaside, CA
Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually
Housing Option: Includes an optional 2-bedroom apartment
Reports To: Community Manager
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Manage annual certifications and ensure compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
• Oversee eligibility processes, compliance procedures, and staff training.
• Prepare for and attend agency/investor audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to respond to tenant file inspections.
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies using the EIV system and monthly reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in HUD and LIHTC compliance, especially with large family communities.
• Strong understanding of the EIV system and discrepancy resolution.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working with diverse groups including staff, residents, and external partners.
