Compliance Officer

Job Description

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all company operations, particularly visa processing and client handling, comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role involves reviewing visa applications, verifying documentation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all processes align with immigration requirements. The officer will also monitor regulatory updates, identify compliance risks, and support corrective actions to maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all visa applications and processes comply with immigration laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Review and verify client applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all client files and compliance documentation
  • Manage data entry in internal systems and relevant visa processing portals
  • Monitor application progress and ensure timely updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, embassies, and consulates as required
  • Follow up on missing or incomplete documentation to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Assist in internal audits, compliance checks, and reporting activities
  • Prepare compliance reports and highlight process gaps or risks to management
  • Ensure confidentiality of all client and organizational information
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to SOPs

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in compliance, visa processing, immigration services, or administrative roles
  • Strong understanding of immigration laws and visa procedures (preferred)
  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant systems or portals
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
