About eWed Insurance

eWed Insurance is a modern U.S. InsurTech company specializing in wedding and event insurance. We combine smart technology with white-glove service to simplify how couples, venues, and event professionals protect their celebrations.

Our company is built on innovation, customer service, and integrity — and we’re coming to India. This position is a rare opportunity to help shape a growing organization from the inside out, building systems, relationships, and processes from the ground up.

About the Role

We are seeking a licensed insurance professional to serve as our IRDAI Compliance Officer for our India operations. This person will also be designated as the Principal Officer for the company. This isn’t a traditional Compliance Officer’s role — it’s an opportunity to help launch and grow a new InsurTech company in the niche wedding insurance market. The right person will help build the foundation that supports long-term growth of eWed India.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-driven, forward-thinking professional who thrives on building structure, solving problems, and keeping multiple moving parts in motion.

As the Compliance Officer, the candidate will oversee compliance with IRDAI regulations, act as the main point of contact for the IRDAI and other government departments, prepare and file regulatory returns & reports, and work with eWed’s staff to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations. This person will also help bridge collaboration between our U.S. and India teams, ensuring consistency with eWed’s brand and business goals.

This candidate will work directly with company leadership, managing compliance operations, be the principal liaison between eWed India and the IRDAI, and oversee administrative systems & procedures.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paste environment — balancing leadership with hands-on problem solving. The selected candidate’s appointment will be subject to review of the fit and proper criteria by IRDAI.

The Opportunity

This is role for someone who wants to grow alongside a company in motion. You’ll be working directly with leadership — learning the inner workings of an InsurTech startup that’s redefining wedding and event insurance.

You’ll help design the systems that will support eWed’s international operations.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of the behind-the-scenes mechanics of a modern managing general agent “MGA” insurance business.

If you thrive on clarity and follow-through, and want your work to matter on a tangible, company-shaping level — this role was built for you.

At eWed, we’re redefining how insurance fits into one of life’s biggest moments. As Principal Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the foundation of our India operations, influence company growth, and be part of an agile global team that values integrity, creativity, and care.
