Compounder (production operator - weigher)

Job description

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing set-up preferably with a variety of chemicals and compounds, and will be able to follow instructions carefully to produce and organize products that meet our high standards. He or she will also be able to troubleshoot problems, transfer chemical to different packaging sizes and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that our products are of the highest quality.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure, and mix chemicals according to formulas to produce compounds
• Read and interpret production orders and follow established procedures
• Operate mixing and stirring machines to blend chemicals
• Preparing samples for testing in laboratories by measuring out appropriate amounts of compounds in containers labeled with names and dates
• Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different mixing time measures
• Record production data and maintain accurate records of compound batches
• Clean equipment and work areas to prevent contamination from previous batches of chemicals
• Organize the finished compound into the racking system
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Train new employees in safety procedures and company policies
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines

Skills and Qualifications

• Preferably in chemical and/or manufacturing background
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and SAP is ideal
• Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
• Working knowledge of MS Office, with aptitude to learn new software, machine and systems
• Solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and reliable ability to follow instructions
• Good physical stamina and strength
• With forklift driving license is a plus
• Candidates on Visit Visa or with short notice periods are advantageous
