The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Computer Analyst II in the Department of Information Technology. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under limited supervision, provides technical support and performs skilled work for the operation and support of computer hardware, mobile devices, AV systems, peripherals, and software applications; maintains documentation for the multiple hardware, software, AV systems, and operating system platforms; and performs related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will be customer service focused, and will have demonstrated, hands-on experience managing a multitude of different Audio/Visual (A/V) technologies. The incumbent will also serve as a subject matter expert in the area of A/V for the City of Henderson's IT Department, while also providing general IT-related support across the organization.

- Associate degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Network security, Cyber security, or a closely related field.

Five (5) years of experience in a combination of the following: computer hardware and software technical support, network resource administration, AV systems support, and customer support services

Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483

CompTIA A+ and Network + Certification must be obtained within one year of appointment

Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.

Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every two years. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
