Job Summary:
The Computer Science Teacher is responsible for teaching Computer Science to secondary classes in accordance with the curriculum guidelines of the Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKEUB) and the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (Sindh Board). The role involves lesson planning, practical lab instruction, student assessment, exam preparation, and maintaining a disciplined and technology-friendly learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science to assigned classes as per AKEUB and Sindh Board syllabus.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with board curriculum and academic calendar.
- Conduct theory and practical classes in the computer lab effectively.
- Explain programming concepts, basic computing, algorithms, data handling, and IT fundamentals according to board requirements.
- Prepare students for board examinations through regular tests, mock exams, and revision sessions.
- Design and assess class tests, assignments, practical files, projects, and examination papers.
- Ensure proper maintenance and usage of computer lab equipment and software.
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, and academic progress reports.
- Provide individual academic support to weak students.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Stay updated with changes in board curriculum, paper patterns, and assessment criteria.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities as required by management.
Job Requirements / Specifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience at secondary level.
- Strong command over programming languages included in board syllabus (e.g., C, C++, or relevant languages).
- Sound knowledge of both AKEUB and Sindh Board curriculum and paper patterns.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage computer lab operations effectively.
- Basic troubleshooting and technical skills preferred.
