Computer Technician

  • Troubleshoot software problems using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to document incidents and track resolution progress
  • Configure and support network infrastructure such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and other security measures to safeguard data
  • Assist with the setup, installation, and upgrades of operating systems and applications including Microsoft Office suite
  • Maintain hardware inventory, perform repairs or replacements of faulty components, and ensure optimal system performance
  • Support IT infrastructure projects by collaborating with teams on network configurations, security protocols, and system enhancements

<Skills>

  • Strong technical support skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues efficiently
  • Proficiency in computer management tasks including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and desktop support
  • Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident tracking and ticket management
  • Familiarity with software troubleshooting techniques for common applications like Microsoft Office and enterprise software
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and security devices
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
