Job Description

Aweliv is seeking a proficient Python Engineer specializing in computer vision to enhance its multi-camera optical tracking system. This role demands a deep understanding of geometry-based computer vision techniques, focusing on calibration, triangulation, and six degrees of freedom pose estimation. The ideal candidate offers at least two years of hands-on experience and excels in using Python programming along with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV and NumPy. This position does not involve deep learning or hardware development, but instead emphasizes classical vision algorithms and precise mathematical computations applied to robotics and multi-camera setups. The Python Engineer will work closely with other engineering teams to develop robust algorithms for multi-camera calibration and 3D geometry processing. Although this role does not involve managing a team, the engineer is expected to independently design, implement, and optimize Python code for pose estimation using the SolvePnP algorithm. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about applying advanced computer vision methodologies in robotics and contributing to cutting-edge optical tracking technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based computer vision algorithms focused on multi-camera calibration and 3D pose estimation.
  • Implement and optimize the SolvePnP algorithm for six degrees of freedom pose calculation using input from multiple cameras.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of 3D geometry and triangulation techniques to improve the accuracy and robustness of optical tracking systems.
  • Use OpenCV and NumPy libraries to process and analyze image data efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate vision algorithms into the overall robotics platform.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of computer vision models to ensure reliability under diverse operating conditions.
  • Document code, methodologies, and test results to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to camera calibration, image distortion correction, and pose estimation errors.
  • Stay current with advances in classical computer vision techniques and apply relevant improvements to existing systems.
  • Maintain high quality standards by following best practices in coding, algorithm design, and software development.

Job Specification:

  • · Open CV must
  • · Multi camera Calibration knowledge
  • · Pose estimation
  • · Free degree estimation.
