Concrete Mixer Truck Driver (Zagre, Croatia)

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Inspection: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck, including oil, tires, brakes, and mixer drum, according to safety regulations.
• Loading & Mixing: Position the truck under the batch plant to receive concrete materials (sand, gravel, cement, water) and ensure proper mixing, sometimes adding chemical admixtures.
• Delivery & Discharge: Transport concrete to job sites, interacting with customers, assessing concrete slump (consistency), and operating chutes to accurately discharge concrete.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the drum, exterior, and chutes clean using water and tools to prevent concrete buildup.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), typically Class B minimum, with a clean driving record.
• Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 45-50+ lbs, climbing ladders, and working in extreme hot/cold temperatures.
• Experience: Previous heavy-duty driving experience preferred; on-the-job training is often provided.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with dispatch and customers on job sites.

Work Environment

• Requires navigating uneven, slippery, or muddy terrain at construction sites.
• Exposure to noisy, dusty environments.
