Concrete plant operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and control the concrete batching plant efficiently and safely.
• Ensure correct mixing of concrete as per approved mix designs and project requirements.
• Monitor and control batching parameters like weight, moisture, and mix proportions.
• Coordinate with site engineers and dispatch team for concrete delivery schedules.
• Maintain daily production records, batching logs, and material consumption reports.
• Check availability of raw materials (cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures) before production.
• Ensure proper calibration and functioning of plant equipment and control systems.
• Report any mechanical or electrical faults to maintenance team immediately.
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained for all batches produced.
• Supervise loading of ready-mix concrete into transit mixers.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of plant area.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure safe operation of plant machinery.
• Assist in preventive maintenance of batching plant equipment.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Coordinate with QC department for concrete testing and quality assurance.

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years UAE experience in concrete batching plant operation.
• Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs and batching processes.
• Familiarity with computerized batching control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic plant operational issues.
• Good communication and coordination skills with site and dispatch teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production.
• Ability to work in shift duties and under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of safety standards in construction industry.
