DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We are looking for a Configuration Analyst to help set up, maintain, and optimize core business applications, including the Cognizant QNXT Product Suite. This position ensures that system configurations align with both business needs and regulatory standards by working closely with internal teams and external partners. Key duties include implementing, testing, and validating configuration changes, assisting with project initiatives, and helping improve system efficiency and compliance. The configuration analyst handles complex tasks involving multiple aspects of configuration to accurately and efficiently process claims based on plan documents and provider contracts.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Interpret complex benefit information and contractual agreements to configure solutions that align with requirements and claim payments.

Coordinate the entry, testing, validation, and migration of business rules into test and production environments.

Collaborate with developers to design, test, and implement code for external pricing rules and custom solutions.

Ensure the accurate and timely implementation of critical information, such as provider data, benefits, pricing, and claims processing rules.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Audit plan, product, and contract configurations for accuracy and compliance.

Provide application and technical support for QNXT and clinical editing software, including troubleshooting for end users.

Research and resolve inaccuracies in business rules affecting claims and transactions.

Recommend and implement benefit setups based on system capabilities and client requirements.

Participate in system conversions and upgrades, including testing new features and creating test scenarios.

Develop user documentation and configuration policies and procedures.

Collaborate with IT to define business system requirements and document findings.
Skills and/or qualifications

Proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio, and SQL.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

- Ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently in meetings, presentations, and conversations.
Required Experience

Knowledge of healthcare transactions, health plan terminology, and medical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD10, CDT, Revenue, DRG, etc.).

Junior Analyst: Minimum 3 years in healthcare operations or claims processing.

Senior Analyst: Minimum 6 years in healthcare operations or claims processing.
Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience with configuration tools (Facets, QNXT, NetworX).

Familiarity with HIPAA transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271), CMS guidelines, and state regulations.

Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
