Position Overview
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is hiring a Configuration and Asset Information Engineer to support the management of railway assets, enhance configuration and information management processes, and ensure compliance with standards. This role focuses on analyzing engineering performance, maintaining asset records, and integrating modern technologies for improved decision-making.
 
What You ll Do
 
* Collect and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for engineering processes and assist in preparing lessons learned reports.
* Maintain and update documents and drawings related to railway assets, ensuring accessibility for engineering teams.
* Support the implementation of advanced technologies for Configuration and Asset Information Management within railway infrastructure.
* Coordinate with Rail Agency departments to monitor updates, approvals, and compliance with change request protocols.
* Represent the department in meetings related to railway projects, providing critical engineering data.
* Conduct site visits to verify contractor compliance with approved Change Requests and standards.
* Manage departmental projects by reviewing work schedules and facilitating coordination with contractors and internal teams.
* Participate in data analysis of railway assets to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
* Develop frameworks for Configuration Management and update asset information according to RTA standards.
* Support asset handover processes, ensuring accurate reviews through the Rail Agency information management system.
* Provide ideas for enhancing asset management processes and contribute to departmental goals.
 
Ideal Profile
 
* Bachelor s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* 0 2 years of relevant experience in engineering or asset management.
* Knowledge of Configuration Management, Asset Information Management, and railway infrastructure processes.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and perform audits.
* Proficient in technical reporting and engineering documentation.
* Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
