Configuration and Maintenance Program Engineer

Job Objective:

Monitor and control the configuration of Jazeera Airways' current and new aircraft by reviewing engineering documents to ensure compliance with airworthiness directives, aviation regulations, and the maintenance program. Ensure all updates are accurately reflected in the Engineering Computer System. Report any issues related to AD/SB compliance, component configurations, time-controlled parts, and certification documents that may affect aircraft airworthiness to the Technical Services Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monitor component tracking and interchangeability in the company’s computer system based on approved manuals and coordination with Technical Services.
• Provides technical assistance to other Fleet management and Aircraft Records (Aircraft entry/exit)
• Remains current on industry standards for aircraft component configuration.
• Monitor and review AD/SB that Technical Services intends to be embodied to the fleet, ensure properly complied and are entered into company’s computer system and report embodiment to OEM’s as applicable.
• Manages current and historical data for AD/SB compliance by means of aircraft configuration
• Define, build and maintain aircraft configuration tree into company’s computer system for new arrived aircraft, landing gears, Engines,APU .
• Perform entry of components (i.e. AIR, HT etc.) for new arrived aircraft
• Create new part numbers, including part number sub-assemblies, as necessary, unknown to the company’s computer system.
• Assist in providing Aircraft configuration status reports including, but not limited to, AD and Modification status.
• Provides technical support to business units on matters relating to ERP system functionality and configuration concerns including technical query support, troubleshooting recommendations, practical training and guidance.
• Ensures consistent engineering standards, processes, and documentation methods are used in ERP project deliverables. Establishes and maintains ERP history files, and related information to provide archive of technical support and training activities.
• Establishes and maintains ERP back-up process together with respective Business Units (BU) to mitigate issues during ERP downtime period.
• Manages system customization (if any).
• To actively participate in Jazeera SMS by ensuring that highest reasonable level of safety performance is achieved by complying with all applicable safety and security laws, regulation and standards and by reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards. To observe Company’s rules and regulations.
• To Ensure MPD Revision is being properly implemented on Jazeera AMP and follow up for regulatory approvals .
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time by the immediate superior/manager.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Degree in Aeronautical/ Any Engineering field or equivalent
• 5 years aviation experience in related field.
• Maintain technical knowledge of aircraft type and operational procedures.
• Knowledge of EASA Part M, EASA Part 145 and KUWAIT DGCA regulations.
• Knowledge in Airline application-based ERP system (OASES, AMOS)
• Ability to read and demonstrate knowledge from technical publications.
• Advance knowledge of AMOS system.
• Project Management Skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-starter; strong communication skills, creative and innovative, decisive and firm but fair in agreeing targets and solid presentation skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
