Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate pricing and contract compliance. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process and contribute to the overall success of our construction projects.

Duties

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
• Utilize software tools such for efficient estimating processes.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive cost control measures.
• Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Prepare detailed proposals and submit bids in accordance with project timelines.
• Monitor ongoing projects for budget adherence and provide updates on cost variances.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and industry standards during the estimating process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in estimation software is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage subcontractor agreements and pricing discussions.
• Knowledge of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
• Previous experience on construction sites is preferred to understand practical implications of estimates.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and provide accurate forecasts for project costs.
