Construction Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Helper to join our residential solar installation team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a "can do" attitude, and will assist in various tasks on construction sites including driving a company vehicle. A valid drivers license in a must.

The Construction Helper will work closely with experienced electricians and solar PV professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Employment Period:

• September 2025 to January 2026.
• This position is temporary, but may lead to longer term employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the solar PV installation crew as needed
• Load and unload materials from company vans and delivery trucks: solar panels, inverters, batteries, etc.
• Drive company vehicles to pickup parts and recycle materials as needed
• Unbox equipment and flatten cardboard
• Lift solar panels up to the roof crew (40-45lbs each)
• Assist in moving and mounting batteries and other electrical equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adher to safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship
• Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have 2+ years of driving experience
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work well in a team environment is essential
• Must have a positive attitude

Additional skills a plus

• Experience with hand tools and power tools is a plus
• Previous solar experience is a plus
• Background in construction is a plus
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work setting is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 48 per week
