Construction Manager

We seek an experienced and efficient construction manager for our civil construction department at Ashur Contracting LLC.

As a construction manager, you will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. Important responsibilities for a Construction Manager include:

• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
• Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
• Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change

Required skills and qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 10-15 years of experience as a project manager, civil engineer or an equivalent role. Entry Level candidates will not be entertained.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, AutoCAD and other software.
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
• Competent in assessing, interpreting and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with effective communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• UAE Driving License is a MUST.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Relevant engineering certifications, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST).
• Thorough knowledge of the Dubai Building Code, safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
• Understanding of budgeting and cost control.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
