Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, BOQ preparation, contract administration, variation claims, subcontractor evaluation, and commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents, and budget forecasts.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and payment certifications.
• Prepare interim valuations, progress billing, and final account settlements.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in procurement processes.
• Measure work completed at site and verify contractor/subcontractor invoices.
• Track material quantities, wastage, and project cost control.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams.
• Review variation orders, extension of time claims, and commercial correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with project contracts, company procedures, and client requirements.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost reports, and budget analysis.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying for infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, pipelines, earthworks, and related civil works.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, estimation, cost control, and contract management.
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, tender drawings, and contract documents.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying tools.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 5–10 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor in infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory Dubai/UAE infrastructure project experience.
• Experience with roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and government infrastructure projects preferred.
• Knowledge of local authority standards such as Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality, and utility authority requirements is an advantage.
