Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drywall finishing and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Drywall Finisher will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying finishing materials, and ensuring high-quality results on residential and commercial projects.

Duties

  • Prepare drywall surfaces by sanding, patching, and applying primer as needed
  • Apply finishing materials such as joint compound, tape, and texture finishes
  • Ensure smooth and even surfaces through meticulous attention to detail
  • Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment effectively
  • Perform caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry tasks as required
  • Assist in restoration and renovation projects involving drywall installation and finishing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

  • Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction fields
  • Proficiency in construction estimating and basic math skills for project assessments
  • Familiarity with color theory for aesthetic finishes in residential painting
  • Experience with various types of painting including commercial, industrial, and restoration painting
  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques including frame carpentry and fixture installation
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Experience with masonry, concrete finishing, stucco application, and remodeling projects is a plus
  • Strong maintenance person skills with the ability to perform maintenance tasks as needed
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
