Construction Procurement Manager

About the Role

As the Construction Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects by managing the purchasing process from start to finish. You will be responsible for sourcing the best materials and services, negotiating favorable contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships—all while keeping projects on time and within budget. This position requires a balance of strategic planning, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to effectively support both the office and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction projects.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Work closely with the design team to closely coordinate the confirmation of specs and shop drawings between the design team and the vendors.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Track and monitor material delivery schedules to align with project timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and site supervisors to understand material needs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental requirements in procurement practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor markets.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office and Google Suite (Google docs, Google sheets etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
