Construction Project Manager

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Underground Construction Manager to lead and oversee underground utility and telecommunications construction projects throughout the Bay Area. This position is responsible for managing multiple crews, coordinating field operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive underground construction experience who can manage projects from planning through completion while maintaining productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
As an Underground Construction Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of underground construction projects while supporting and developing field crews.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee all phases of underground utility and telecommunications construction projects from start to completion
• Manage and coordinate multiple field crews and job sites across the Bay Area
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Lead, mentor, and develop crew supervisors and field personnel
• Drive project timelines and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to support project execution
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and internal management regarding project progress
• Monitor project productivity, budgets, and timelines
• Identify field challenges and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project updates

Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience in underground construction, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of conduit placement methods including micro-trenching, trenching, boring, and directional drilling
• Familiarity with fiber construction including conduit installation, fiber placement, and splicing
• Ability to read and interpret construction prints, maps, and project plans
• Experience managing multiple construction crews and job sites
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Bay Area job sites

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
