Construction Project Manager - Design & Installation of Walk-in Cold Rooms & Freezers for Pharmaceutical and Life-Science Research Clients

Harris Environmental Systems, Inc. is an established specialty equipment subcontractor specializing in the turn-key design, engineering and installation of Walk-in Coolers and Freezers / controlled temperature and humidity systems for laboratories and storage rooms for Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies as well as for Colleges and Universities research laboratories.

Our office is located in Andover, MA

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to handle commercial projects ranging from $70K to $3M values.

Projects' activities include review of the design, procurement, turn-key installation of a structure comprising of insulated panels and MEP trades, including refrigeration systems, relative humidity control systems and equipment, ducting and electro-mechanical control.

The candidate will possess a high level of technical competency and strong customer service skills.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Manage field trades to ensure the conformance with safety requirements, projects' schedules, and budgets
• Manage procedures to verify quality of work and conformance to contract documents and applicable codes
• Review of the engineering submittals for the equipment and shop drawings
• Buyout and management of subcontracts
• Preparation and submission of change orders

Requirements/ Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with construction methodologies and practices, managing construction trades and documentation
• Experience with managing MEP trades would be very helpful
• Strong communication skills
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining project schedules and cost controls
• Experience in cost negotiating with vendors, sub-contractors, construction managers
• Practical skills with Microsoft Office applications specifically with MS Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Infrequent overnight travel is required

Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
