Consultant Pathologist

Diagnostic Services:

• Examine tissue biopsies, surgical specimens, cytology samples, and body fluids to diagnose diseases (e.g., cancers, infections, autoimmune disorders).
• Interpret results from laboratory tests (hematology, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry).
• Issue pathology reports to referring physicians or clinical teams in a timely manner.

Consultation & Clinical Support:

• Provide expert pathological opinions and second opinions to clinicians and other specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings (e.g., tumor boards) for case discussions.
• Advise on further tests or investigations as needed.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure laboratory practices comply with national/international accreditation standards (e.g., NABL, CAP, ISO).
• Participate in internal and external quality control programs.
• Implement and monitor laboratory safety standards and infection control protocols.

Teaching & Training (if applicable):

• Teach and mentor medical students, pathology residents, and laboratory technologists.
• Organize or contribute to continuous medical education (CME) programs and seminars.

Research & Development (optional/academic settings):

• Conduct or collaborate in clinical and translational research.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pathology (e.g., MD Pathology, DNB Pathology, or equivalent).
• Registration with relevant Medical Council (e.g., MCI/NMC or international equivalent).
• At least 0-2 years of experience post-specialization is preferred for consultant roles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
