Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Oncologist with expertise in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing pediatric cancers and hematologic disorders, with a focus on BMT procedures, while contributing to clinical excellence, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat pediatric oncology and hematology conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumors
  • Perform and oversee autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants
  • Lead multidisciplinary case reviews and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Supervise junior physicians and fellows in pediatric oncology and BMT protocols
  • Ensure compliance with international standards of care and hospital policies
  • Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and CME activities
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding treatment options and post-transplant care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
  • Participate in on call rotations and emergency coverage as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric BMT is mandatory
  • Minimum 5 years of post fellowship experience in pediatric oncology and BMT
  • Eligibility for DOH/HAAD licensure in the UAE
  • Western trained candidates preferred (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes
