Position Title:

SAP PP/QM Consultant

Position Overview:

The SAP PP/QM Consultant is responsible for delivering solutions in the Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules of SAP. This role involves analyzing business requirements, providing system solutions, supporting custom developments, managing system interfaces, and offering ongoing production support within defined SLA timelines. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in both functional configuration and cross-functional integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Incident & Service Request Management

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and service requests in PP and QM modules within SLA targets.

Business Process Analysis & Solution Design

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of business process requirements and recommend appropriate SAP solutions aligned with best practices.

PP Module Expertise

• Configure and support key PP functionalities, including:
• Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Change Management
• Supply Chain Planning (SCP)

QM Module Expertise

• Configure and support standard QM processes such as:
• Quality Notifications
• Incoming Goods Inspection

BOM Process Knowledge

• Provide strong functional knowledge and configuration for the full BOM lifecycle, including its integration with production and quality processes.

Custom Developments (Z Developments)

• Support custom development processes by preparing functional specifications, coordinating with ABAP developers, and validating outcomes in PP and QM areas.

Testing Activities

• Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure solution integrity and performance.

System Integration

• Handle end-to-end integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring smooth data exchange and process continuity.

Interface Management

• Work with technical interfaces including:
• IDoc Processing
• Remote Function Calls (RFC)

Impact Analysis

• Prepare and document detailed impact analyses for new Z developments, identifying potential risks and interdependencies.

Month-End Support

• Provide extended and proactive support during month-end and critical business cycles to ensure operational stability.

Stakeholder Communication

• Collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders, providing timely updates and gathering requirements with clear communication.

Documentation

• Create and maintain functional documentation such as:
• User Manuals
• Functional Specifications
• Training Materials

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SAP PP and QM modules.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes.
• Hands-on experience in custom developments (Z objects).
• Good knowledge of SAP interface technologies (IDoc, RFC).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with integration to external systems (e.g., MES, LIMS).
• Exposure to S/4HANA environment is a plus.
• SAP certification in PP or QM module.
