Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, QA - Manual Tester
We are seeking a Detail-oriented Manual Functional QA Engineer to validate web-based user interfaces and payment workflows for mission-critical fintech applications. This role focuses on hands-on exploratory and functional testing, ensuring UI usability, accuracy, and reliability across complex payment and transaction flows.
Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, and Automation Engineers to ensure that customer-facing payment experiences meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and usability. This role is ideal for a QA professional with strong manual testing expertise in transactional systems, particularly within payments, financial services, or fintech platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Functional & UI Testing
  • Execute manual functional testing of web and mobile-responsive UI applications.
  • Validate end-to-end user journeys, including:
  • User onboarding and authentication
  • Payment initiation, confirmation, refunds, and error scenarios
  • Transaction history and status updates
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience.
  • Validate UI against product requirements, UX designs, and acceptance criteria.
  • Payments & Transaction Validation
  • Test payment workflows involving:
  • Credit/debit card flows
  • Digital wallets
  • Real-time or batch-based transactions
  • Verify transaction accuracy, status updates, retries, and failure handling.
  • Validate edge cases such as partial payments, duplicate submissions, timeouts, and error messaging.
  • Ensure data integrity across UI, backend responses, and downstream systems.
  • Test Design & Documentation
  • Analyze product requirements, user stories, and UX mockups to derive comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Create and maintain:
  • Test cases
  • Test scenarios
  • Test execution results
  • Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT test cycles.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Collaboration & Agile Participation
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with developers and automation engineers to clarify requirements and validate fixes.
  • Provide clear, concise test execution summaries and defect reports to stakeholders.
  • Quality & Compliance Focus
  • Ensure UI flows comply with security, compliance, and data handling standards common in payments platforms.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of manual testing processes and QA best practices.
  • Support UAT and production readiness validation prior to releases.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 Strong experience testing web-based applications, preferably in fintech or payments.
 Solid understanding of:
 Software testing fundamentals
 SDLC and Agile methodologies
 Hands-on experience performing:
 Exploratory testing
 Regression testing
 UI/UX validation
 Experience using bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types (manual), and SDLC
  • Proficiency in test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
  • Experience with scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • REST API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, RestAssured
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
  • Version control systems: Git, GitHub, GitLab
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
