Container Dispatching Officer

Manage, plan and coordinate daily container drayage activities to make sure containers are picked up and delivered on time.
Arrange routes carefully to meet delivery timelines while following all transport rules and port requirements.
Maintain clear communication with drivers, port authorities, warehouses and customers to keep operations running smoothly.
Monitor container movements and update dispatch system records with real time status changes.
Review and adjust routes regularly to improve efficiency and control transportation costs.
Handle operational challenges such as delivery delays, equipment availability issues and driver related concerns.
Monitor downtime, demurrage and related charges and take steps to reduce unnecessary costs.
Prepare regular and accurate operational reports, including performance tracking and service results.
Support the operations team by identifying areas for improvement in daily dispatch processes.

Hands on experience in freight forwarding or working as a container dispatcher.
Strong understanding of port operations, container handling and transport laws.
Good communication skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and calmly.
Experience using dispatch systems along with Microsoft Office tools.
Self motivated, organized and able to work well within a team environment.
Flexible to work early shifts, extended hours or weekends when operational needs require.
