Container Drayage Dispatcher (On-Site – Oakland, CA)

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Dispatcher to join our team in Oakland. You will help manage day-to-day container trucking operations, coordinate driver schedules, and keep container shipments moving smoothly to and from the Port of Oakland.

This is a 100% on-site job at our Oakland office.

Duties

• Assign loads and dispatch drivers for daily pickups and deliveries.
• Schedule terminal appointments for the Port of Oakland.
• Stay in touch with drivers throughout the day to answer questions and solve issues.
• Update customers on the status of their containers.
• Enter basic shipment info and paperwork into our computer system.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–2 years of dispatch or customer service experience preferred (willing to train someone with the right attitude!).
• Skills: Good phone and communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Location: Must be able to report daily to our Oakland office (not a remote job).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
