Job Summary:
The Content and Video Specialist is responsible for bringing the story of our school to life through compelling visual and digital media. This full-time position will be planning, creating, organizing, and managing high-quality photo, video, and digital content that reflects and advances the strategic, educational, and spiritual goals of the Academy.

The Content and Video Specialist plays a key role in sharing Saint Ursula’s mission through authentic storytelling, capturing the voices, experiences, and achievements of our students, faculty, alumnae, and community. From mission-based videos and feature stories to website, social media, and athletics content, this role helps shape how Saint Ursula is seen and experienced by current and prospective families.

Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Supports, promotes, and models the mission, vision, and core Ursuline values of Saint Ursula Academy.
  • Works cooperatively with the Vice President of Communications, other personnel and departments to ensure a welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors to the school.
  • Be a mission-driven professional who immerses themselves in the daily life of the Saint Ursula Academy community to authentically capture and communicate how the Ursuline mission is lived each day
  • Serve as a compelling visual and digital storyteller, tailoring Saint Ursula Academy’s unique story for key audiences including prospective and current families, alumnae, donors, and the broader Catholic community
  • Create, manage, and maintain content calendars to support strategic communications goals.
  • Ensure high-quality content that adheres to Saint Ursula Academy’s brand standards and messaging.
  • Capture photography of everyday life on and off campus, including academic programs, Minimesters, athletics, and select school events.
  • Manage the Academy’s master photo archive, including saving, organizing, and facilitating photo access for faculty and staff.
  • Record and edit short-form and long-form video content highlighting student life, mission, academics, athletics, and special initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support video needs for major events, campaigns, and special projects which will occasionally evenings and weekends.
  • Plan and coordinate professional video shoots with external vendors and production crews for large-scale projects.
  • Maintain and update the Saint Ursula Academy website using the school’s content management system requiring no coding experience.
  • Represent Saint Ursula Academy at select grade school and community events, including appearances in the Bulldog mascot costume.
  • Assist VP of Communications, as needed, with creating and implementing constituent surveys and organizing data and results.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three to five years prior experience in creating and managing communications content and video.
  • Wed based video editing experience. Adobe Premiere or similar preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Communications, Admissions, and Development teams, as well as external contractors and media partners.
  • Proficient in Google, Microsoft Office, content creation/video editing software.
  • Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skill.
  • Active listener with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with experience in multiple communication modes, including social media.
  • Team player that is naturally collaborative and has a tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty in a highly complex environment.
