Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver extraordinary customer service to both internal (GMs, RVPOs, franchisees) and external (guests, travel agents, partners) customers, demonstrating ownership of our impact on all of their businesses
- Build new Red Roof Inn hotels in all databases
- Gather necessary information
- Communicate with GDS partners regarding new hotel according to established timelines
- Complete data entry in all necessary systems with accuracy and thoroughness
- Sync rates and room types to channels
- Open hotel for booking on the opening date
- Enter and maintain all property and brand-related information across multiple channels
- Ensure clarity and integrity of all data entered, including proper spelling/grammar, while adhering to department guidelines
- Maintain notes and documentation related to all department procedures
- Communicate with property management and Contact Center staff to ensure accuracy of all information in all systems; respond to all requests received in a timely manner
- Support sales, marketing, revenue management, and operations departments in efforts to improve bookings across all channels
- Utilize online resources to research new hotels, identify attractions, and verify addresses/mileage
- Provide support to travel agencies via phone and email
- Answer inbound calls to the Content Distribution line
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), proficient knowledge of Outlook (organizing emails across multiple boxes and archiving), and experience using the Internet to research and collect information required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Need to have an acute attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, have excellent organization and time-management skills
- Need to be able to work under pressure, keep current on a multitude of programs/policies, and multi-task with the flexibility to switch focuses as necessary to meet urgent deadlines
- Need to be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in hospitality or travel industry preferred
Additional Information
- The position is Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (shift ending no earlier than 5 pm)
