Homes By Design is a creative, design-led company specializing in interiors and outdoor living; and now, we’re looking for a social-native content creator to bring that story to life online.

We’re seeking a highly creative, emotionally intuitive, Gen Z-aligned video storyteller to lead our social media content strategy. You’ll be responsible for planning, producing, editing, and publishing scroll-stopping content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other platforms designed to captivate, inspire, entertain, and engage.

You’ll understand the mechanics of what makes someone pause, watch, like, comment, share, and save and know how to structure content from hook to finish to maximize viral potential. You’ll work alongside our creative team, but you will take ownership of our content calendar, storytelling angles, and on-screen delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with a clear focus on retention, shares, saves, comments, and likes.
• Use your deep knowledge of video structure to optimize every stage of a video:
• Develop various styles of 3-second hooks (shock, contrast, teaser, text-led, motion-led)
• Use captioning, subtitles, overlays, pacing, and music to boost watch time and replays
• Build emotion-led storytelling arcs to hold attention and drive deeper interaction
• Lead content ideation and storyboarding for upcoming weeks balancing seasonal trends, project showcases, behind-the-scenes, educational and lifestyle formats.
• Produce high-volume content consistently without sacrificing storytelling or aesthetic value.
• Take ownership of the entire content pipeline:
• Research, planning, shooting (on mobile or DSLR), editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or equivalent), optimization and publishing.
• Collaborate with our designers, photographers, and creative team but maintain accountability for our social content.
• Stay plugged into TikTok/Instagram trends, sounds, challenges, and content shifts and apply them strategically to the luxury renovation and design space.
• Monitor analytics and performance to adjust content structure, themes, and formats for growth.
• Manage daily interactions (comments, DMs, reposts) and community engagement with our audience building a loyal, emotionally connected follower base.
