Content Manager Specialist (Hybrid Writer + Videographer)

Full-Time - Hybrid (In/Out office) | Excel Roofing | Englewood, CO
Salary Range: $48,000–$62,000 (Depending on Experience)

About the Role

Excel Roofing is hiring an Early Career Content Manager to help shape our voice, educate homeowners, and support our sales team through transparent, trust-building content. This role is rooted in the Endless Customers / They Ask, We Answer framework and focuses on writing, interviewing, filming, and creating resources that make Excel Roofing the most trusted roofing company in Colorado and Wyoming.

Hubspot experience would be extremely helpful, but not mandatory. However, a willingness to learn HubSpot and become HubSpot certified is required within the first 90 days.

This position does not manage people - it manages the content strategy that drives customer trust and supports revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Content Creation (Primary Focus)

  • Write 3-5 articles per week that can be published in multiple formats such as email marketing, blogs, video scripts.
  • Develop content based on products, services, Excel personnel, and customer journey stories.
  • Build and maintain a content backlog supporting sales, customer education, and recruiting.
  • Transform PM (Project Manager) expertise and field knowledge into clear written content suitable for PM (Project Manager) training as well as customer education.

Video Production (Secondary but Essential)

  • Edit education and trust-building videos.
  • Go on-site with PMs and crews to create stories about the processes and customer journeys.
  • Repurpose written content into simple, fast-turnaround video assets.

Sales Enablement

  • Create assignment-selling content for the sales process.
  • Create stories and video scripts to support recruiting and onboarding of new team members that explains Excels culture and policies using information from Excel’s PM Handbook.
  • Build content that explains the good, bad and ugly to educate customers and assist PMs in closing more sales.

Website + SEO Support

  • Update with a date blog page for clarity, accuracy, and trust-building.
  • Apply basic SEO best practices.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital, and advertising content.

Internal Collaboration

  • Attend sales meetings to understand PM needs and real customer objections and insights.
  • Interview PMs, production team members, and leadership regularly to develop content.
  • Coordinate with recruiting and Office Management on culture, hiring, and internal communication content.
  • Maintain a content calendar and report on progress in weekly KPI meeting with Ownership.

Required Skills

  • Strong writing ability and genuine passion for storytelling, 10-15 hours per week.
  • Ability to interview subject-matter experts and extract insights.
  • Basic videography and editing skills (phone + simple editing tools).
  • Curiosity about learning new subjects such as Roofing, customer questions, and home services.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Friendly, coachable, growth-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, or similar CMS (Content Management) tools.
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Experience producing short-form content for social platforms.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about home services & roofing.
