Mariposa is seeking a Content Marketing Assistant to join our Sales & Estimating department at our Irwindale, CA location. The desired candidate must be very familiar with all forms of marketing, from traditional methods to various social media platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate marketing calendars, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain digital asset organization and ensure brand consistency
- Compile digital performance reports using Google Analytics and related tools
- Monitor engagement metrics and prepare performance summaries
- Assist with social media scheduling, email campaigns, and blog publishing
- Support event planning, promotional efforts, and vendor coordination
- Organize digital files, track campaign performance, and maintain reporting documents
- Proofread marketing materials and ensure accuracy across platforms
- Maintain lists, asset libraries, and contact databases such as CRM or CMS systems
- Order promotional items and manage inventory levels
- Help manage internal communication requests and cross-team updates
- Support blog publishing through formatting, content uploads, and light editing
- Source or update images for website content and social media posts
- Monitor and manage six to seven GMB profiles, ensuring timely responses to customer reviews and questions.
- Upload photos, jobsite updates, and company announcements to each location as appropriate.
- Track recurring issues or customer sentiment trends and report findings to the Marketing Director.
- Take high-quality headshots of company personnel using company-provided equipment.
- Maintain and update the photo library used for proposals, organizational charts, and RFP submittals.
- Ensure images meet high quality standards and reflect the company’s branding.
- Assist with setup, staffing, and teardown of booths at trade shows, public works expos, job fairs, and career-recruitment events.
- Represent the company professionally and courteously to prospective clients, agency partners, and potential employees.
- Must be able to travel between offices and job sites.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors for photography and videography tasks.
- Occasional weekend or evening work may be required for events or special projects.
Skills & Certifications:
- 1–2 years of administrative, communications, or marketing experience (Required)
- Valid Driver's License with a driving record that is insurable (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, or Monday.com
- Basic understanding of email marketing platforms
- Working knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or similar graphic design tools
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
- Clear and timely communication
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of SEO or Google Analytics
- Experience with professional cameras, drones, and digital media equipment.
- HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certification, Google Digital Garage, or social media platform badges
