Content Marketing Lead

Position Overview
We are seeking a Content Marketing Lead to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that strengthens brand awareness, drives lead generation, and engages our target audience. This individual will oversee all aspects of content creation, distribution, and performance measurement, ensuring that every piece of content aligns with business objectives and delivers value to our customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, skilled storyteller, and data-driven leader with proven expertise in content marketing across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the overall content marketing strategy, defining goals, audiences, key messages, and themes.
  • Conduct audience and competitor research to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure timely, consistent delivery across channels.
  • Map content to the customer journey—from awareness through conversion and retention.

Content Creation & Management

  • Oversee the production of high-quality, engaging content in multiple formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, eBooks, case studies, social media, videos, webinars, email campaigns, and website copy.
  • Write and edit content as needed, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, engaging, and on-brand.
  • Manage a team of internal writers, freelancers, and subject matter experts.

Content Distribution & Promotion

  • Develop and implement distribution strategies to maximize reach and impact.
  • Optimize content for SEO to drive organic traffic growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote content across social media, email, and paid channels.
  • Build relationships with influencers and industry publications to amplify content visibility.

Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Define and track KPIs such as traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversions.
  • Use analytics tools to measure performance and extract actionable insights.
  • Provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize content formats, headlines, and messaging.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with sales, product, and marketing teams to align content with business goals.
  • Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in content marketing.
  • Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing and content strategy.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in content strategy, creation, and distribution across multiple channels.
  • Strong portfolio of successful content initiatives.
  • Experience with SEO and content optimization.

Skills

  • Writing & Editing: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align content with broader business and marketing goals.
  • Analytics: Proficiency in measuring performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Tools: Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), analytics tools (Google Analytics), and SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
