JOB SUMMARY
The Content Marketing Manager brings stories to life and keeps them moving in the right direction. From social content and blog posts to email newsletters and video scripts (and beyond), this role plans and creates content that supports Plumas Bank’s brand and business goals — and makes sure it gets to the right audiences at the right time using the right channels. You'll write, edit, organize, and oversee content across every channel we use. Equally creative and organized, this role will ensure that every piece of content is consistent in tone, aligned with brand voice, and part of a larger strategic plan — so nothing gets lost, duplicated, or overlooked. You’ll also make the most of what we create, giving our content a longer life by adapting it for different audiences and platforms. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Marketing and Community Impact, and works alongside members of an internal marketing team supplemented by agency and vendor partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position plans, develops and creates multimedia content supporting cross-platform content strategies encompassing social media, website, blog, email newsletter, video, print, and more.
· Manage the production of quality content (written, video and audio) and imagery that is clear and engaging, consistent with the company’s brand, and supports business goals and consumer needs.
· Support a range of content needs including persuasive positioning, consumer education, internal communications, corporate announcements, issues management or storytelling. The role includes ghost-writing for company spokespersons (such as loan officers, branch managers and executives) and interviewing clients and partners for testimonials or other content
· Lead content production with support from fellow marketing team members and managing additional project-based videographers, photographers, graphic designers and vendor/agency contributors.
· Use keyword research, SEO tools and creativity to increase message reach and effectiveness. Guide content contributors to maximize content performance through on-page SEO, CTA placement, IA and pathways to conversion, and more.
· Develop and maintain an editorial calendar of content production in collaboration with digital marketing manager, marketing coordinator, and content contributors.
· Work with graphic designer to manage the company’s branded materials including flyers, presentation slides, letterhead, posters, and other business materials.
· Create consistent, meaningful content for social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, increasing consumer engagement, and producing social media campaigns.
· Research and curate financial industry content specific to engaging small business audiences.
· Conduct content gap analysis and content audits to determine how well content is performing, what’s missing, which formats best communicate various types of content, and what is needed to meet growth goals.
· Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing, AI tools for marketers, social media and content marketing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations and communications, marketing or related, and previous professional work in digital communications, social media, marketing, and content production.
Five years in an agency or in-house marketing communications team.
Ability to travel occasionally to Plumas Bank branch and loan office locations in Northern California, Northern Nevada and Southern Oregon.
The option to work remotely with specified office hours in Reno, Nevada, depending upon experience and aptitude for remote work.
Proficient with AP style and strong editing skills.

Comfortable and responsive to detailed reviews of implementation plans and providing timely information in response to compliance and other bank regulatory teams.

Knowledge and/or interest in financial industry products and services is preferred.
Knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques as it applies to the banking industry.
