The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead the strategic direction, development, implementation, and sustainment of the Continuous Improvement program to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share for all Core Lyons facilities headquartered in Fresno, CA. This is viewed as a mission-critical leadership role for the organization. The primary objective is to support functional areas such as but not limited to, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Human Resources in operational process efficiency improvements and business process design. Driving a continuous improvement culture and improving team member skill sets will be a focus.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 / year + bonus

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Location: Fresno, CA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accountability to drive 5x+ of compensation package in delivered annual savings.
  • Cultivate and drive a culture of continuous process improvement throughout the organization. This involves being a focal point for continuous improvement activities and recognized as a leader in this area. Responsible for program roadmap and execution.
  • Work collaboratively with site leadership to drive initiatives and develop priorities based on corporate business objectives.
  • Assist with site and company savings targets for continuous improvement efforts. While the savings will be rolled into the individual site savings to report and claim, this role will share some direct responsibility for achieving these targets.
  • Communicate the status and eventual results of CI projects effectively with stakeholders and maintain a pipeline of ideas for prioritized execution.
  • Lead development, implementation and sustainment of continuous improvement systems and implementations.
  • Provide support for others who are working on continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training materials and training to others in various aspects of continuous improvement. Acts as a subject matter expert for improvement methodologies including TPM and Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Support employee training in the proper application of Continuous Improvement concepts. Coaches and mentors to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Follows all company safety rules in performing job duties.
  • May perform other functions that may be assigned. List of primary functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Preference given to proven Lean, Six Sigma, TPM leaders delivering measurable improvements Strong financial acumen and analytical ability
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and be a change agent.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills and a high degree of integrity.
  • Strong planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Capable of learning, leading and sponsoring a data-oriented environment with an emphasis on statistics, SPC, and data analysis.
  • Continuous improvement demonstrated competencies including Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other CI methodologies (i.e., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of proven leadership in Continuous Improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing.
