Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organizational policies. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships. The Contract Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting business development initiatives and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to execution, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations and UCC law.
  • Oversee vendor management processes, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Conduct thorough document management and records management to ensure all contracts are accurately documented and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support procurement activities and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Perform risk assessments related to contract terms and conditions, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as PeopleSoft for tracking contract performance and compliance metrics.
  • Engage in change management processes to adapt contracts as necessary based on evolving business needs.
  • Assist in proposal writing and pricing strategies to support business development efforts.
  • Conduct research on industry standards and best practices related to contract management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in contract management, legal drafting, and negotiation within a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, vendor management, and compliance management is essential.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property law and technical writing skills is a plus.
  • Proficient in document review practices with attention to detail for accuracy.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough research on contractual obligations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
