Contract Attorney

Part-time Contract Associate - Releatively short-term project

While not required, it would be preferable for the person to have graduated with honors; been law review, or had been a law clerk for a judge. Resilience, grit, and discernment are more important than just paper qualifications.

Looking for an experienced, independent, and efficient co-worker to join our contract law practice. The ideal candidate is orderly, organized, and conscientious, who likes to get things done and tends to go about projects in a systematic, methodical way.

The work environment is flexible, with a hands-off approach, and without a lot of detailed feedback; however, if there is a problem, the problem will be more likely addressed promptly with fair, reasonable, and impartial solutions (we aim to be excellent, not perfect).

Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines

Experience:
- Prefer 3 years of experience as a contract attorney or a recent law graduate with a strong resume. Member of Louisiana Bar is a plus.

- Strong background for litigation legal research
- Very proficient in legal writing and document drafting.
- Conduct thorough legal research using computer-aided research.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents

We offer competitive compensation based on experience. The stated compensation is a range, but will go higher for demonstrated experience and quality of work.
