Contract CPA (Firm Owner Preferred) | QuickBooks Online Expert

Eula Blue is a CPA-backed strategic finance advisory firm supporting government agencies, organizations, and growth-stage businesses through fractional CFO leadership, modern accounting systems, and financial clarity.

We partner with clients to build audit-ready financial infrastructures, deliver executive-level insights, and align accounting with strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a licensed CPA (preferably with their own firm) to collaborate with Eula Blue on a contractual, advisory basis.

This role is designed for a CPA who enjoys reviewing, advising, and partnering.

You will work alongside our internal bookkeeping team to provide oversight, structure, and strategic financial guidance, while also supporting client onboarding and tax advisory.

Current demand is approximately 4–5 hours per month with strong potential to expand as our client portfolio grows.

Key Responsibilities

Monthly (Fixed: $400–$450 monthly)

Close Cycle

• Review bookkeeping completed by Eula Blue’s internal team for accuracy, integrity, and reporting readiness, and validate financial statements: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow and provide feedback within 3–4 business days (materials delivered by Workday 10)
• Perform review and adjustments directly within QuickBooks Online Advanced
• Advise on: Chart of Accounts, class and location tracking, revenue recognition, and financial reporting structure
• Collaborate with Eula Blue’s Managing Partner as needed

Tax Advisory and Compliance (Included in Monthly Scope)

• Provide proactive tax strategy guidance aligned with client financial performance on a quarterly basis
• Identify tax optimization opportunities throughout the year
• Ensure financial structure supports tax efficiency

Annual (Optional – Billed Separately)

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for clients who elect tax services
• Manage tax compliance and filings as applicable
• Strong preference for CPAs licensed in New York and/or New Jersey

Qualifications

You:

• Are a licensed CPA
• Have strong QuickBooks Online expertise (Advanced level preferred)
• Are well-versed in small business tax strategy
• Understand how accounting systems drive tax strategy and business decisions
• Enjoy advisory work and client interaction
• Have experience owning or operating within a CPA firm or advisory practice
• Have experience cleaning, restructuring, and optimizing QuickBooks Online files

Engagement Structure

• Part-time, consulting engagement (starting at 4–5 hours per month)
• Flexible hours
• Fully remote
• Participation in client onboarding (as needed) and quarterly client calls
• Direct collaboration with Eula Blue leadership and bookkeeping team
• Opportunity to expand hours and scope as client demand grows
