Responsibilities

The main purpose of the Contracts Administrator job is to assist and provide supports to Contract team in the implementation of all contractual tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and timely manner as per guidelines set by ESEC.

  • Assists the Senior Contracts Administrator in preparing contract status reports for the Project Manager and Contracts Manager.
  • Assists in the contractual aspects of claims reports.
  • Assists in negotiating changes, variations, and claims with the Client/Engineer, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Drafts contractual correspondence with the Client/Engineer, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Reviews subcontractors’ and suppliers’ performance against contract requirements.
  • Maintains an organized filing system for all contract documents.
  • Verifies subcontractors’ final invoices and all associated contractual requirements.
  • Identifies and validates the merits of any deductions in subcontractors’ final invoices.
  • Assists in the closure of the Main Contract, subcontracts, and supply agreements in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Coordinates and provides contractual support to the Commercial team.
  • When required and with management approval, acts as Senior Contracts Administrator and provides active support to the Contracts Manager.
  • Assists the Senior Contracts Administrator with other contractual tasks and assignments as required.
  • Reports to and supports the Senior Contracts Administrator on all contractual matters.
  • Interfaces with subcontractors and suppliers in the administration of subcontracts and supply agreements.
  • Coordinates with the Commercial team on contract matters.
  • Coordinates with Operations on all contract-related matters.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in engineering or in Law
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator in a comparable sized corporation and handled a project size of SAR 200,000,000 and above
  • Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus
  • Good knowledge in planning and quantity surveying
  • Knowledge of FIDIC and other International Forms of Contract and their application
  • Advance IT skills
  • Fluent in English and Arabic language (optional)
