Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Controls Feature Development Engineer to join our Powertrain Controls team. You will be responsible for end-to-end systems engineering, from requirement capture to validation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
Capture and Decompose Functional Objectives: Translate vehicle-level features into structured system-level requirements for powertrain and control systems.
System Design Ownership: Develop and maintain subsystem designs (CFTS/VF level) for all powertrain controller variants.
Requirements Management: Use tools such as IBM DOORS to author, trace, and validate requirements throughout the system hierarchy.
Low-Level Specification: Define, manage, and refine low-level functional requirements.
System Analysis: Perform system-level analysis to identify architecture, interfaces, and component interactions.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in requirements engineering or similar systems engineering roles.
Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, battery electric vehicles (BEV), and hybrid systems (MHEV/FHEV).
Proficiency with tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink.
Experience with UML, SysML, and modeling tools like CAMEO or Rhapsody.
Familiarity with systems engineering frameworks and tools (e.g., IBM DOORS).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
