We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical and Instrumentation Control Panel Technician to join our dynamic team. As an essential member of our organization, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation control panels. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Wiring:
- Install, assemble, and wire electrical and instrumentation control panels based on engineering specifications.
- Ensure proper routing and bundling of cables and wires to maintain a neat and organized panel layout.
- Testing and Commissioning:
- Conduct functional and operational tests on control panels to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers to commission and validate control systems for optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation control panel issues promptly and efficiently.
- Implement corrective measures to resolve technical problems and prevent reoccurrence.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of panel installations, modifications, and repairs.
- Generate reports documenting test results, issues identified, and solutions implemented.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all phases of work.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
- Training and Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate course or equivalent in Electrical and Instrumentation Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrical and Instrumentation Control Panel Technician or similar role.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other control system components.
- Skills:
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in electrical systems or instrumentation control are a plus.
- Communication:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and clients.
