About the Role:
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and overseeing the operation of industrial or energy production processes from a central control room. This position ensures that all systems and equipment operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The operator plays a key role in identifying potential issues, managing emergency situations, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols
Responsibilities:

System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of plant systems, machinery, and equipment through control room consoles, ensuring that all operations stay within prescribed parameters.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Identify operational issues, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions, alarms, or system irregularities.

Control of Operations: Adjust controls, set points, and parameters as needed to maintain optimal system performance. Manage the start-up, shut-down, and operation of equipment.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, including shutting down systems, notifying relevant personnel, and following established procedures to mitigate risks.

Data Recording & Reporting: Maintain logs of operations, including machine readings, incidents, maintenance activities, and any abnormal events. Provide detailed reports as needed.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct routine safety checks to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, maintenance staff, and other operational personnel to ensure smooth operation and effective resolution of any issues.

Training & Development: Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new equipment, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Control Room Operator or in a similar role, preferably in the petrochemical manufacturing industry.

Associate degree in technical engineering or related field preferred).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in control systems, monitoring software, and understanding of industrial processes. Ability to operate control room equipment efficiently.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to manage complex situations quickly and effectively.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to report issues and interact with team members effectively.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously.

Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of safety standards and the ability to work in a high-risk environment.
Preferred Qualifications
