Control Room Operator | Roads O&M

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Control Room Operator to join our Roads Management Centre (RMC). The operator will monitor traffic patterns, manage incidents, and use Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to keep Qatar’s roads safe, smooth, and efficient. This role helps reduce congestion, enhance road safety, and improve driver experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and manage ITS systems, traffic signals, CCTV, and dynamic message signs.
• Monitor traffic conditions, detect congestion, and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage road incidents, severe weather, road closures, and diversions.
• Provide real-time traffic information and operational support for major events and abnormal/hazardous loads.
• Liaise with internal teams and external authorities to ensure effective communication.
• Support tunnel operations, road network optimization, and system development.
• Maintain professionalism and ensure confidentiality of control room operations.
• Work 24/7 in rotational shifts as required.

Requirements

✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
✅ Experience in roads control room operations and ITS systems
✅ Knowledge of incident management, traffic control, and tunnel systems
✅ Ability to work rotational shifts
✅ Strong English communication skills (Arabic is a plus)
