Controller

The Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of Medicine Creek Enterprise Corporation (MCEC) and its multiple subsidiary entities, ensuring effective internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position directly supervises the Accounting Manager, Accountant and other staff.

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller plays a critical role in stabilizing, modernizing, and advancing MCEC’s accounting function. The Controller leads the execution of MCEC’s accounting remediation and modernization plan, including closing historical gaps, strengthening internal controls, improving financial reporting accuracy and timeliness, and ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across all entities.

This role is responsible for bringing the accounting department fully up to date and ready audit-to-date, establishing disciplined close and reconciliation processes, and building a strong, high performing accounting team. The Controller provides hands-on leadership, technical accounting expertise, and structure to support leadership, auditors, and the Board with reliable, transparent financial information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
