Controllership Lead, FinOps - AR AWS

The Global Accounts Receivable (GAR) team is seeking a Controllership Lead with deep auditing expertise to achieve a world class Order to Cash experience.

We expect the Controllership Lead to be strategic, detail oriented, with strong accounting and finance skills, robust auditing experience, excellent interpersonal and influencing capabilities, strong organizational and project management abilities, and the capacity to gather business and technical requirements across global teams to drive systems and change management processes. The leader will seek opportunities to reduce risk, minimize manual touches, eliminate process waste, and move toward scalability and self service.

Leveraging audit experience and deep understanding of control environments, the individual will collaborate with tech teams to implement AI and emerging technologies that strengthen internal controls while improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with financial controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards across global cash application operations.
  • Lead audit readiness initiatives, including process documentation, control testing, and remediation of audit findings to maintain financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct deep dives and audits of accounts receivables processes to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, control matrices, and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audit reviews for new product and System of Record (SOR) launches, partnering with Launch and Tech teams to identify and mitigate potential impacts to account receivable systems, including OFA (Oracle Financials) and CP (Customer Payments) systems, prior to implementation.
  • Drive controllership initiatives including compliance monitoring, financial reporting accuracy, and risk mitigation across global accounts receivable operations.
  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies to strengthen internal controls, automate routine O2C processes, and improve operational efficiency across global accounts receivable operations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical experience
  • 5+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
  • 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision making
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of SOX and/or audit engagements experience
  • 5+ years of controllership or compliance experience
